For the last 40 years, World Wide Stereo has done everything it could to improve the lives of families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) – by way of donating and installing great audio and video. Just a couple of months ago, 20 WWS employees participated in the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House Annual Plane Pull, raising over $12,000 for the charity and pulling a 76,000 lb plane across the tarmac at Philadelphia airport. Recently, World Wide Stereo was invited to be honored as a “Premier Corporate Partner of the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House,” an event that I unfortunately could not attend. In my place, I asked our Email Marketing Manager, Chris Gordon, to represent the company and accept the award. What happened next was, thankfully, caught on video… and will stay with all of us for a long, long time. Chris said it was an honor to be given the chance to inspire others with his family's story. He added, "It is always so humbling to look back upon your journey and use your hardships and successes as fuel for bringing more good into the world. If you only take one thing away from my story, it’s that donating your time or money will make a real, palpable, and monumentally important difference in somebody’s life." Well said, Chris.
Philadelphia’s own Ronald McDonald House is currently building an 8-story addition, and they’re in need of 215 TVs and a random number of appliances. To all our vendors who see this: if any of you can help out, please do!
