Small but Mighty
Available in 5 stunning Matte finishes, the Alpha iQ has a sleek, modern design. Inside each enclosure is a 4” polypropylene mid-bass driver with steel basket and rubber surround, and a 0.75” aluminum dome tweeter with neodymium magnet and ferrofluid damping. Each woofer has its own 60W class-D amplifier, and each tweeter its own 30W class-D amp, for a total system output of 180W.
DSP-Based Active Crossover
The Alpha iQ employs a DSP-based active crossover. Thanks to their powerful amplifiers, tuned bass ports, and DSP-enabled low-frequency extension, PSB’s Alpha iQ speakers can deliver bass output that completely belies their diminutive size. The Alpha iQ’s audiophile-grade DAC supports resolution to 24-bit/192kHz and has full MQA decoding and rendering capability for high-res streaming from Tidal.
Unlimited Music
Through the BluOS Controller app, you can play music from more than 20 streaming services including several that offer lossless and high-resolution audio, such as Amazon Music, Deezer, Idagio, Qobuz, and Tidal as well as internet radio stations from around the world. Apple Airplay 2, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect are also supported. For listening options beyond streaming, a built-in MM preamp, RCA phono jacks and ground terminal allows you to connect a turntable. Other inputs include an HDMI eARC port for connecting to an HDTV, an optical input for connecting a disc player or game console, and a 3.5mm auxiliary input for connecting analog sources. The Alpha iQ also has Bluetooth connectivity, with support for the high-quality aptX-HD codec, for wireless playback from smart devices. You can connect an external drive loaded with music files to the Alpha iQ’s USB port and control playback.
Complete Control
Listeners can control every aspect of the Alpha iQ’s operation with the BluOS Controller app, which is available for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows. Touch controls on the top of the primary speaker also provide immediate access for changing volume, pausing and resuming playback.
Integration
Like all BluOS-enabled components, the Alpha iQ can be integrated into popular smart home systems like Control4, Crestron, ELAN, RTI, and URC. Voice control is possible using Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri (via AirPlay 2). IR learning is also available for listeners who use harmonized remotes that can operate multiple A/V components.
Bluesound RC1 Remote Control for BluOS Systems
Introducing Bluesound's first remote control, the RC1. This functional and sleek accessory allows you to control music easily and quickly, without picking up a tablet or phone.
The idea is simple. Nothing complicated, nothing difficult; all of Bluesound's most-used functions at the tip of your fingers. The RC1 has been designed so that the most important buttons - like volume control, mute, and play/pause are located in the most likely and easy-to-use positions. Add 10 useful buttons for presets, and the RC1 becomes an incredibly handy little point-and-play.
All Bluesound Gen 2 and Gen 2i Players have an IR sensor built-in and now have the IR commands for the RC1 embedded in BluOS. This means that as long as your Player is updated with the most recent BluOS firmware, the RC1 will work right out of the box - just insert the included coin-cell batteries and you are ready to go.
As an added bonus: BluOS-enabled NAD products (non-MDC) can also be controlled with the RC1.
Simple, Ergonomic Design
The RC1 is designed with functionality in mind. The most used and most needed functions are the most accessible. Every feature has been thought through in detail.
Works Out of the Box
With the IR codes now built into BluOS, the RC1 will work right out of the box. Just ensure the player is on the latest firmware, insert the included 3V CR2032 coin-cell batteries, and start listening!
10 Preset Buttons
Pulse Flex owners love the 5 preset buttons on the top of their player; with the RC1 you will have quick access to 10 presets! These can be set as normal through the BluOS app - pick your favorite radio stations, playlists, and inputs and assign them a number for quick and easy listening later on.
8 IR Channels
Ensure the RC1 is controlling what you want it to. Players can now be set in the BluOS app to operate on 1 of 8 different IR channels (0-7).
